Doris Wilderness is a 7200 acre preserve of old-growth rainforest in central Belize. It is named for Doris Hemsley, a community activist and the proud matriarch of a family of Belizean sons and daughters, including Denfield Welcome, Chief Conservation Officer and Founding Director of the Wilderness. 

The Doris Wilderness Foundation, Inc., LLC, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a registered non-profit organization in Belize.
